Corrections policy

Last updated 9 October 2026

We aim to get everything right. When we don't, we fix it quickly and in the open.

How we correct

  • When we correct a fact, the article gets a correction note at the top saying what was wrong and what we changed.
  • We never quietly change a fact in a published story.
  • Spelling and grammar fixes that don't change the meaning are made without a note.
  • If a story turns out to be wrong at its core, we say so at the top rather than delete it.

Report a mistake

Email [email protected] with "Correction" in the subject, the article link and what's wrong. We'll look at it within two working days.
